At the end of 2007, through the prize of the 80mundos Foundation, Ramiro Flores released, "Flores", his first solo album.

In december 2007 he received the Clarin Award as Jazz Revelation of the Year

 



Ramiro Flores , saxophone player and composer, is one of the most active and leading jazz musicians in Argentina. In the end of 2007, after having won the 80mundos Fundation award, he recorded, produced and issued "Flores" , his first solo album.

Throughout the last few years he has collaborated with the most prominent jazz musicians in Argentina, including Mariano Otero, Pepi Taveira, Javier Malosetti, Patricio Carpossi, Ligia Piro, Delfina Oliver, Fer Isella, Nicolás Sorin, Juan Suárez, Esteban Sehinkman and others.

In the United States, where he resided for many years, he attended Berklee College of Music. There, he studied with world-renowned teachers such as Joe Lovano, George Garzone and Bill Pierce. In New York City he collaborated with bands such as Mr. Vivo Big Band and Los Changos, as well as playing with his own band. He was a composer for Music Sales Corp. and American Music Co.

In december 2007 he was elected Jazz Revelation of the Year by the Clarín Awards jury.
